What an inspiration this family is; their adoration and support for Amy, who has terminal ovarian cancer, radiates through the footage. Just when I thought flash mobs weren’t a thing anymore, this one grabbed hold of my heart strings and reminded me to go back to basics with life priorities: Unconditional love. Support. Community. Laughter. To find the beauty in each day, and to treasure it as a gift.
In our fast-paced world, it often feels like there is never enough time or space to prove to our people that we care for them. How can we show those who are most important to us that we love them unconditionally, and will continue to do so even after they are gone? How do we demonstrate support, friendship, and devotion?
Let this flash mob be your inspiration to remind your net of support today how much they mean to you. May we all get back to the basics of life this week.

- Be open with your words. Simply say what you mean to say when it’s top of mind.
- Never underestimate the power of these three phrases: “I love you,” “I appreciate you,” and “I’m sorry.”
- Hug with both arms. Side hugs and the I’m-holding-my-cell-phone-with-my-other-hand hugs don’t mean as much.
- Don’t give up on the people who are important to you. Mistakes happen, and people can change.
- Stop questioning your happiness. Allow yourself to be happy, share your light, and absorb the happiness of others.
- Re-embrace the Golden Rule: treat others the way you want to be treated. Don’t wait to show your loved ones how much you care, no matter what form that comes in. The little things matter.
- Honesty is the best policy. Spill it.
- Do it now, do it now, do it now.
Let this flash mob be your inspiration to remind your net of support today how much they mean to you. May we all get back to the basics of life this week.
