Working with Emily has been incredible for our University of California, Riverside team. Our campus was challenged with a massive web project that included hundreds of pages of copywriting and editing. Emily tackled this project for us over a few months span with ease, while working with many different department leads, each with varying goals and deadlines. She was able to give a very disjointed web project one singular voice.
Emily was also tasked with learning our new CMS in order to edit much of the content. She had no problem with this whatsoever and even offered advice as to where she thought different types of copy would work better on the site. On top of all of this, Emily also helped write content that aligned with our SEO needs so that we wouldn’t have to go back and do this later.
-Kelly McGrail, Director of Digital Marketing and Analytics, University of California, Riverside
Emily is doing an excellent job with all the different Quasar content writing assignments. She really has a good grasp on our brand and our brand voice, and her experience is evident in her work. She is clearly among the best content writers we’ve worked with.
-Fernando Diez, Marketing Director, Quasar Expeditions
Emily is an immensely talented writer with so much passion and enthusiasm for the craft, and that is reflected in every article she produces. Her voice is consistently relatable, engaging, and inspiring. She conveys great wisdom and insight through her words, but in a way that seems wholly natural and grounded — no easy feat for even the most experienced of writers.
-Vicki Santillano, Senior Editor, The Mighty
Emily has a wonderfully effective writing style and really understood the needs and direction of each piece she wrote for us. Reflected in her writing style is her infectious, easy personality that allows her to belong in any crowd. It would be difficult for anyone not to notice Emily and, more importantly, not to enjoy the time they spend in her company. Personality will only get you so far in life, however, Emily adds to her wonderfully kind personality a strong work ethic, natural leadership ability, and maturity well beyond her years.
-Ian Brassett, General Manager, Pali Retreat
Emily Hudson draws on her life experiences to produce deeply intelligent, yet relatable content. Her stories resonate with those who are looking to enrich their lives, or are simply seeking out ways to make their day a little more enjoyable.
-Kelly Lynch, Editor in Chief, WorldLifestyle
Emily is a hard worker and a gifted writer. She clearly communicates, shows up on time, and puts in the extra effort needed to get a project finished. Emily was responsible for creating content for our newsletters, workshops, social media, and flyer design. She always amazed me with her ability to take an idea and expand on it in a way that clearly communicated the heart of our message. In addition, she was responsible for corresponding with our customer base. There have been many emails or letters where she was able to help us put the finishing touches on to calm an upset client in a manner that allowed for a smooth gentle resolution. She has one of the most loving and considerate hearts and a unique ability to see both sides of any situation.
-Sandrine Petit, Owner, Inner Evolution Yoga
Emily is talented, to say the least. She is a gifted writer who continually impresses everyone she works with. It’s obvious that she loves what she does, and her passion for writing shows, even in the smallest of projects.
While Emily is an exceptional writer, she is also a true creative. Emily is an idea machine consistently able to provide fresh perspective and solid input well beyond the scope of creative writing. I think it’s her creative nature that also makes her an asset to any marketing team. Because of her experience, she has a keen understanding of what makes people tick and how to effectively communicate to them.
-Shaun Ramirez, Owner/Graphic Designer, ShaunRamirez.com
Emily brought something to our UX copywriting that we were desperately searching for: a sense of conversation and humanity. She was able to transcribe incredibly complex workflows and features into something that consistently was easy to understand and most importantly, human. She has been instrumental in making our UI easier to comprehend, and the response from customers has only corroborated this success.

You have a great ability to write in an accessible way. You also did a brilliant job of bridging any ideological gaps. Well done, Emily. I feel really lucky that you were the writer of this piece.
-Aseem Giri, Founder and CEO, Kharma Kare
Emily interviewed me for a story she wrote for WorldLifestyle. She made me feel so comfortable answering her questions and we had so much fun while meeting, I almost forgot we were "working!" Her energy is infectious and warm, which brings peace to a situation that can sometimes be unnerving. When the article came out, I remember thinking that she was not only a really talented writer but she also portrayed my story perfectly and authentically. I am eager to work with her again!
-Laura Conley, Owner, Spark Your Shine
I opened up about my personal journey through the big "C" (cancer) with the LOVELY soul, Emily Hudson, on how my yoga practice is an instrumental tool for living mindfully. As an inherently private person, I was hesitant to share; however, if even one person welcomes yoga into their life as a result then this small act of sharing was worthwhile.
-Liz Sosson Rahi, Yoga Instructor
When Emily invited me to sit down with her after class to be interviewed, I was deeply honored and touched. Emily's energy is radiant, warm and spacious - as is her interviewing style and writing. I felt so at ease doing the interview. She created such an incredible and safe environment that allowed me to share so effortlessly. Not only did Emily facilitate a super fun interview experience, she wrote a brilliant piece that captured her authenticity, brightness, sense of fun, curiosity and adventure. Emily is also a fellow yogi and yoga instructor - and it's evident. Through her presence and words, you experience her mindful practice. Her sense of ease, space and fun shines through in the few minutes you are lucky to spend with her.

Please write a book so I can buy it and force everyone I know to read it. You're amazing.
This is a beautiful article, Emily. Thanks so much for sharing it with the world. So true and so necessary to read. You are a godsend.
-Chaz Russ, Owner, Yoga with Chaz
Dear Emily, I just wanted to let you know that you are an amazing writer... Yoga seems to have grounded you in many directions for the greater good. It's reading about experiences like yours that makes me want to do yoga more, not a person bragging about the weight they lost or the 8 pack they gained.
This afternoon, I described you as smart, funny, capable, and not at all yoga-cult like. I love your writing, particularly on yoga/balance/life etc. You avoid that very strange (almost religious) tone some writers get when talking about yoga.
